As 2019 comes to a close, I'm looking back at all the wedding + party trends from this past year that I am loving + hope to see more of in 2020 (especially with two of my besties now engaged)!
I am completely obsessed with subtle natural colors and typically blushes, and nudes are the "go to" colors (my wedding was just that..) however, this dusty blue has been in my heart for the last year and I really hope it makes a bigger appearance in the new year! Something about the greenery, with gold tableware and the blue tinted goblets are just giving me all the whimsical Cinderella feels and I want to redo my wedding now!
Modern Organic Design + Florals
This design style balances crisp details with natural elements and materials. To me, it's comforting, calming and more inviting. An easy way to incorporate this organic design into your party/event is by taking out unnecessary details that could overcrowd your tablescape or space. Dark or gold tableware paired with wood-toned saucers and natural toned linens are the sure way to get this effect!

Another trend that has been around but will definitely be gaining more popularity at everyday parties + events is fringe backdrops and hangings. Mix + match your color palette and make your event more modern + fun! This adorable hanging was made by Bangin Hangins and has me convinced that every trend comes from Australia!
Charcuterie Boards have history in France from as far back as the fifteenth century, but have probably been around since the creation of humans. A mix of meats, cheeses and other seasonal goodies allows for charcuterie boards to be the perfect companion to ANY party or event no matter the size. Are your girlfriends coming over to watch the new episode of The Bachelor?! Spread out some cheeses, meats, seasonal fruit, and my favorite, hot honey on a serving plate, pair it with some wine.. and boom, an easy appetizer for everyone. You can go to Trader Joes the night before and prepare this before the event with no cooking to be done at all, or you can find someone local to cater a board for you.

And voila! Dusty blues, modern organic design + florals, fringe backdrops, and charcuterie boards are the trends I am currently loving + hope to see more of in 2020. What trends are do you love or hope to see in the new year?
