Attention all LADIES! According to Leslie Knope, "Galentine's Day is best day of the year! Every February 13th my lady friends and I leave our husbands and boyfriends at home and just kick it breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies."
With the everyday stresses of work, dating and all those quarter-life crisis, Galentine's Day is the perfect time to let loose and enjoy (desperately needed) time with your gal pals! And that is why Galentine's Day is one of my favorite times of the year! Not to mention, anytime I can celebrate another woman is a day for me! Let's dive into the 5 tips I have for throwing the best Galentine's Day party!
1. Overall Decor
Just like any party you throw, the decor really helps sets the ambience and mood for your event. Tons of different shades of pink, white, red and gold will really help make your space pop and feel like a girls party for sure. Not to mention, mylar and latex balloons staggered throughout the space as well as, festive garland will add easy Galentine's day feels all around!
2. Instagram Worthy Photo Ops
What's a Galentine's Day (or any day) without an instagrammable moment?! Make sure your party is THE hottest thing on IG stories by having a photo op backdrop! Again, you can use mylar balloons found on etsy or your local party store. Switch it up by using that festive garland from earlier or a streamer wall.
When planning your Galentine's get together you can do a nice dinner with a beautiful tablescape, snacks and hors d'oeuvres, or my personal favorite, a brunch!
A decorative tablescape (linens, candles, place cards, florals)
Something simple but fun like sushi or takeout
Snacks & Hors d'oeuvres
Traditional charcuterie board
Dessert charcuterie board
Dips (hummus, spinach and artichoke)
Chocolate Covered Fruit (here's a post to make your own!)
Waffles (Waffle bar)
Fruit / Fruit parfaits
Let's be honest, the drinks are the real star of any girls day. To make sure your day is successful you need a proper array of wines & champagnes, or a fun cocktail! You can always spruce up a glass of rosé by adding a fun sugar/sprinkle rim, some fruit or a tuft of cotton candy. Don't forget festive napkins and paper straws for your cocktails!

Whether you are doing a nicer dinner party with your girl gang or a fun brunch, your tablescape sets the TONE and is one of my personal favorite things to decorate! Budget friendly options would be to use your own dinnerware and flatware. The con? You have to do all the dishes after and most people don't have more than 8 sets of everything. Another great option is adorable paperware products like shown above! Layer them with different sizes and colors to add dimension to your table.
Aside from dinnerware, no tablescape would be complete without a runner and fresh florals and candles. Cute glassware and linens are an added bonus to really make your table come together.
I hope you have THE BEST Galentine's Day ever! Be sure to share how you celebrate and if you use instagram hashtag #partywithkinley !!
